Employee Background Checks - New York
Performing employee background checks based on criminal records searches in New York is a headache for employers these days. The $52.00 fee that the State of New York charges for access to their County Court records is unprecedented. Pre employment screening companies are forced to pass these fees onto our clients, because the fee is simply not absorbable. Hopefully this situation will be addressed when Laura Weigley Ross, Director of Administrative Services for The New York State Unified Courts' Office of Court administration (OCA), speaks at the Annual Pre Employment Conference in November.
